Tucker Dunand

Tucker graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and earned his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2023. Tucker has always had an interest in helping people. He was drawn to OT after shadowing a hand therapist in undergrad. He appreciated the holistic approach to occupational therapy and how the broad range of treatments utilize both creativity and clinical knowledge.
For his doctoral capstone project, Tucker created an adaptive video game program for individuals with special needs, a project that continues to be used today. He is currently working on a book aimed at educating others about gaming for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Outside work, the Southern Louisiana native enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, traveling, playing video games, and playing music.
